MARINE MEADOWS WORKSHOP
June 16th 1pm-3pm
Westhampton Beach Village Green.
Cornell Cooperative Extension with the Southampton Trustees, the Kiwanis Club, and Key Club help to establish an important marine habitat restoration project!
Restoring our local eelgrass meadows will result in creation of habitat for many fish and shellfish species, help to protect our shorelines from erosion and improve the overall health and productivity of our bays.
This FREE workshop will provide participants of all ages a chance to learn about the importance of eelgrass to our marine ecosystem, while helping CCE staff assemble eelgrass planting units for use in local restoration efforts.
Advance registration is requested but not required.
