East End Hospice provides care and comfort for all terminally ill patients, their families and loved ones living on the North and South Forks of Long Island, including Brookhaven Town.
Health care professionals and volunteers offer pain and sympton control as well as palliative care and scoial, emotional and spiritual support to patients and their loved ones in a comfortable and caring envirnment.
East End Hospice also seeks to promote awarness of the benfits of hospice care in our communties through educational and informational presentations to civic, fraternal and religious groups, professional organizations and educational institutions.
No shall be denied care by East End Hospice because of inability to pay.
Another crucial service that East End Hospice provides is bereavement care to help survivors recover from the trauma of grief. As such, East End Hospice offers individual and group therapy sessions to the survivors including the entire communtiy. In addition, Camp Good Grief, a day camp held in August is specifically for children who have suffered the loss of a loved one, generally a mother or father. There are no insurance reimbursements on bereavement care.

In 1980, my father began J M Engraving, a small mom and pop trophy and plaque business located in Eastern Suffolk County. As this business grew, my dad often enlisted the help of my mom and the four Sumwalt boys to assemble trophies, package the final product, and prepare the recognition awards for delivery.
