The Westhampton Beach School District is located
in the Township of Southampton, Suffolk County, New York and services the villages of Westhampton Beach and Quogue, and the hamlets
of Westhampton, East Quogue, Remsenburg-Speonk, and East Moriches.
The 3,000 year-round residents and the 30,000 summer rentails enjoy the beaches, boating, fishing and other recreational opportunities as well as a vast array of cultural and social activities.
The focus of the Westhampton Beach School District is its students. Approximately 1,800 children obtain knowledge and participate in hands-on learning experiences as they build the foundation for their futures. Behind the scenes are more than 200 committed faculty members, administrators, specialists, and coaches who teach, mentor and encourage our students to reach their greatest potential. The Board of Education also employs a Superintendent of Schools, an Assistant Superintendent for Personnel and Instruction, a Director of Pupil Personnel Services, a Director of Health, Physical Education, and Athletics, three building Principals and two Assistant Principals. The District has its own Committee on Special Education to ensure compliance with federal and state legislation.
All of our students attend one of the three school buildings located on one campus. The Elementary School has students enrolled in grades K-5, the Middle School provides educational services for students in grades 6-8, and the High School offers a large nember of learning opportunities for students in grades 9-12.
The Westhampton Beach School community is pleased to offer our students two of the best qualities one could ask for in education – a progressive academic program and a nurturing social environment. Our students benefit from a challenging educational program including curricular commitment and high academic standards; technology and cutting-edge instruction; and an appreciation for the arts, athletics, and recreation. Our school district is at the center of an attractive and committed community that ranks education as one of life’s highest priorities.
